Former teacher, Running Brook Children's Nursery, Columbia; National Child Research Center, Washington, DC; Park School, Brooklandville; Columbia Center for the Arts, Columbia. Founding member, Howard Astronomical Society. Member, Advisory Board, Women's Giving Circle of Howard County; Steering Committee, Arts Education in Maryland Schools Alliance; League of Women Voters of Howard County (past director). Maryland Delegate, Federal Relations Network, National School Board Association. Past president, Wilde Lake Middle School Parent-Teacher-Student Association. Past member, Wilde Lake Village Board; Past member School Improvement Teams at Bryant Woods Elementary School, Wilde Lake Middle School, and Wilde Lake High School. Married; two children.
