Member, Maryland State Bar Association, 1987- (working committee on ethics, 2001-03); Baltimore City Bar Association, 1987-; Maryland State's Attorneys' Association, 1987-96; National Association of Criminal Defense Attorneys, 1999-2003. Board of Directors, William S. Baer School, 2000-. Volunteer, Baltimore City Teen Court Program, 2001-; Alternative Directions, Inc., 2007-; University of Baltimore Law Alumni Society, 2007-. Outstanding Assistant Public Defender of the Year, 2000. Adult Volunteer of the Year, Baltimore Teen Court, 2003.
