Admitted to Maryland Bar, 1972. Member, Federal Bar Association; Maryland State Bar Association (board of governors, 1983-84); Arizona State and Garrett County Bar Associations. Chair, Board of Directors, Salem Children's Trust, 1980-92. Board of Directors, Garrett National Bank, 1991-93. Board of Directors, National Prostate Cancer Coalition, 1997-2007 (chair, 1999-2001). Charter member, Trout Unlimited. Past grandmaster, Oakland Masonic Lodge. Died May 9, 2007, in Baltimore, Maryland.
