Admitted to Maryland Bar, 1958. Served as a special agent in Counter Intelligence Corps. Member, American Bar Association; Maryland State Bar Association (criminal law & practice section council, 1990-, past chair); Baltimore City Bar Association; The Selden Society. Lecturer (constitutional & criminal law) American Academy of Judicial Education, National Judicial College, National College of District Attorneys, and other organizations. Distinguished Service Award, National District Attorneys Association, 1968. Distinguished Graduate Award, University of Maryland School of Law Alumni Association, 2004.
