Member, American Bar Association (chair, governmental regulation of land use committee, real property section; advisor to national conference on uniform state laws on planned communities); Maryland State Bar Association; Maryland Bar Foundation; American Adjudicature Society; American College of Real Property Lawyers. President, St. Mary's College of Maryland Foundation. Adjunct Associate Professor (political science), St. Mary's College of Maryland, 1964-. Maryland Leadership in Law Award, Daily Record, 2003.
