Under Administration, abolished in Sept. 1999. Functions transferred to Deputy Director for Administration. Restored in July 2002.

PLANNING & POLICY DEVELOPMENT
Renamed Policy and Programs in Sept. 1999.

POLICY & PROGRAMS
Abolished in July 2002.

PRODUCTION SERVICES
Under Administration, renamed Educational Support Services in Jan. 1997.

QUALITY MANAGEMENT
Under Policy and Programs, renamed Quality Improvement in July 2002 and transferred to Administration.

REGIONAL OPERATIONS
Renamed Regional Programs in July 2002.

REGIONAL PROGRAMS
In 2007, merged with Emergency Operations to form Emergency Operations and Regional Programs.

TRAUMA FIELD-TRIAGE TASK FORCE
Appointed by State Emergency Medical Services Board:
Robert C. Mackersie, M.D., Chair
Bryan E. Bledsoe, D.O.; Thomas Judge; Ellen J. Mackenzie, Ph.D.; William R. Metcalf; John A. Morris, M.D.; Stephen H. Thomas, M.D.

The Trauma Field-Triage Task Force was formed in October 2008 by the State Emergency Medical Services Board. The Task Force met in November 2008 to review the emergency medical protocols and practices used to identify, treat, and transport trauma patients by helicopter to regional hospitals in Maryland. The Task Force recommended changes to current field practices and operations for emergency medical care provided to injured patients before arrival at the hospital.
