Organized by the Governor in July 1999, the Cabinet Council on Business, Economic Development, and Transportation provided a forum for interagency cooperation on matters such as infrastructure, taxes and regulation, business development, workforce development, regionalism, and access to capital.

Cabinet members included the Secretaries of: Housing and Community Development; Labor, Licensing, and Regulation; Planning; and Transportation. The Executive Director of the Governor's Workforce Investment Board also was a member.

The Cabinet last met in 2002.
