Born in Wilkes County, Georgia, September 25, 1942. Attended Paul Laurence Dunbar School, Baltimore. Served in U.S. Air Force, 1960-64. Morgan State College, B.A., 1968; Morgan State University, M.A., 1978. Human services delivery systems administrator/social scientist. Former member, Interim Steering Board, Model Cities, appointed 1968. Member, Improved Benevolent and Protective Order of Elks of the World (I.B.P.O.E.W.), #1043; American Legion Post 294; National Association of Concerned Veterans; National Association for the Advancement of Colored People (NAACP), Baltimore Chapter, Regional Action Committtee (RAC). Member, Veterans of Foreign Wars (VFW); Vietnam Veterans of America. Regional Coordinator, National Association for Black Veterans. Former president, Association of Black Social Workers, Baltimore.
