Served in U.S. Army (infantry captain), 1956-64. Businessman. Secretary/Treasurer, Reliable Contracting Company, Inc. Member, Anne Arundel County Republican Central Committee, 1990-94. Delegate, Republican Party National Convention, 1996. Member, Associated Builders and Contractors (president, Anne Arundel-Southern Maryland Chapter, 1971); Utility Contractors of Anne Arundel County (vice-president, 1984). Board member, West Anne Arundel Chamber of Commerce, 1988-94. Board of Directors, Anne Arundel Community College Foundation, 1992-98. Married; seven children.
