Real estate agent, Long & Foster Realtors, 1984-88. Human resources and personnel manager, Giant Food, Inc., 1988-2002. Member, Prince George's Human Improvement Association, 1980-2008; Columbia Highlands Citizens Association, 1982-88; Landover Local Development Corporation, 1982-88. Member, Prince George's County Democratic Central Committee, 1994-99. Board of Directors, Prince George's County Educational Foundation, 1999-2001. Member, Prince George's County Chapter, National Association for the Advancement of Colored People (NAACP); Bellemeade Civic Association . Loaned Executive Club Award, United Way, 1988. Outstanding Community Service Award, Prince George's Human Improvement Association, 1994. Legislator of the Year, Maryland Speech-Language Hearing Association, 2003. Torchbearer Award, Baltimore Chapter, National Coalition of 100 Black Women, 2005. Married; two children. Died in Lanham, Maryland, January 12, 2008.
