Born in Omaha, Nebraska, January 31, 1926. Served in U.S. Navy, 1943-46. University of Oklahoma, B.S. (engineering), 1947. Engineer, Westinghouse Electric Company, 26 years in engineering management, 1947-84. Farmer; raised beef cattle. Past chair, Howard County Republican Central Committee; past president, Howard County Republican Club; past president, Howard County Citizens Association; life member and past president, Howard County Chapter, National Association for the Advancement of Colored People (NAACP), 1956-2004. Member, Veterans of Foreign Wars (VFW). First Life Achievement Award, Howard County Republican Party, 1986. John W. Holland Humanitarian Award, Community Action Council of Howard County, 2004. Died in Baltimore, Maryland, September 11, 2004.
